The Color & Texture:

This palette has a beautiful combination of 6 neutrals eyeshadow shades. The colors are mostly shimmery  but the darkest brown is a matte shade. The palette consist of a matte brown shade, a shimmery dark chocolate brown, a shimmery champagne pink, a shimmery soft woody brown, a glittery gold and a glittery white shade. The shade

The texture of the eyeshadow is very soft. There’s a minimal amount of fallout which doesn’t really annoys me. I really like the softness of these eyeshadow. The feeling of swiping my finger on this eyeshadow pan is like touching a velvet pouch :) No, I am not kidding! This eyeshadow is REALLY SOFT!  It is also very buttery and smooth. The pigmentation of this eyeshadow varies among the shades. The glittery shades are leaning more towards sheer. The rest of the colors have great pigmentation; the color shows up even in just one swipe.

Tom Ford Blush in Flush

I am so excited that Tom Ford is opening its counter in Tangs Orchard!

I am such a blush addicts that everytime I heard people are raving about a brand, I need to try the blush. I have read many positive review about the quality of this blush. I bought Tom Ford blush in Flush from Tangs Orchard when they are having 12% rebate for the cardmembers. This blush is retailing for SGD 85. It’s a very expensive blush for me and I am expecting a very high quality product for the price I have paid.

Firstly I’d like to talk about the packaging. It’s made of gold metal casing that feels quite heavy. There’s a velvet pouch given for every blush. There’s a “Tom Ford” logo embossed at the front of the blush. Call me superficial but this kind of luxurious packaging always call my name and I always fall into temptation on getting this blush. There is no small brush or applicator included in this blush.

Flush is a peachy coral blush with fine shimmers. The texture is very soft, pigmented and it blends beautifully on my skin. The moment I touched this on the counter, I can feel that the formula is awesome. It is so pigmented that you only need to dab your brush once (or twice) lightly and gently pat it on your face. You can always build up the color if you think the color does not pop enough.

In the swatch below, you can see how pigmented the blush is. On the left is one swipe of the blush, and on the right side is one swipe of the blush and blended.

I have swatched some blushes that might look similar.

I would say that there’s no exact dupe to Tom Ford Flush. The closest would be Nars Deep Throat, but Nars seems to be sheerer than Tom Ford flush. I have reviewed all the blushes swatched above except Nars Deep Throat. You can find the review for the blushes here:

Chanel Blush de Horizon

Nars Orgasm

Illamasqua Hussy

Bobby Brown Peony

I have created a look with Tom Ford flush:

The products used in this look:

Guerlain Terra Azzura by Emillio Pucci, YSL Lip Stain no 7, Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill no 25, Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner in Black, Shu Uemura eyebrow pencil

Final Thought:

Tom Ford blush delivers what I have expected from a high end blush. The texture are not disappointing; blends very nice, the pigmentation is superb and the packaging looks luxurious. The only downside I see is the price. Tom Ford products are very expensive but that might be the reason why people are lemming about it too ;)

Have you ever tried any Tom Ford blushes/ products before? Tell me what you think :)

Shu Uemura Blush M Soft Pink 325 Swatch and FOTD

Holla!

Today I want to show you my first ever Shu Uemura blush. I have never bought any of Shu Uemura’s blushes but this one caught my attention. I don’t own any soft pink blush hence when I saw this, I immediately sold.

The main reason that stops me to buy Shu Uemura’s blush is the packaging. I find the packaging unattractive and too simple. The case is very lightweight which is obviously not my favorite part of a makeup item. Shu Uemura sells the makeup case separately. This case can also be used to hold two eyeshadows.

The texture of this blush is very nice. It’s buttery, very easy to blend and very soft. The blush is matte; there’s no shimmer at all. I guess this range would be suitable to ladies out there who are not a big fan of shimmer.

M325 is a very soft pink blush. Although this color is very soft and almost doesn’t show on my skin, the color is buildable. In my skintone, this blush needs to be applied 2-3 times to show up the color. I am not a big fan of soft pink blush but this is a nice choice to complement my blush collections :) In the swatches below, you can see how it looks on indoor lighting and direct sunlight. On these swatch pictures, I swiped the blush 3 times.

As you can see, the color looks quite pale on my skintone. Honestly it’s not one of my favorite cheek color, but sometimes wearing a different color might be a nice thing to do :)

I did a look with this blush, what do you think?

Eye Makeup:

Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill #8 Champagne as a base, L’Oreal Infallibble in Endless ChocolateGiorgio Armani Eyes To Kill in#25 Rusted Gold, Dior Eyeliner in Black, L’Oreal Lash Architect 4D, Shu Uemura Eyebrow Pencil

Cheeks:

Urban Decay NAKED eye palette in buck for bronzer, Guerlain Meteorites Travelling Pearl for highlighters and Shu Uemura Blush M Soft Pink 325

Do you have any Shu Uemura blushes? What do you think about them?

Thank you for reading :)

My 7 Day Experience with Shu Uemura Tsuya Skin

Two weeks ago I was invited to the launch of Shu Uemura Tsuya Skin and I was offered to try this Tsuya Skin in 7 days and see the difference on my skin.

Tsuya skin is a face serum that’s recommended to be used after you cleanse your face. If you’re using eye cream, moisturizer or night cream, it is recommended that you use Tsuya Skin before using all other skin care products.

In the picture below, you can see the pretty color of this product. It is a translucent pink with pretty shimmer. You don;t have to use too much of it, a pearl sized will be enough :)

What I love about Tsuya Skin at the first try:

The smell: Tsuya Skin smells fresh! I like skincare which does not have heavy smell, a fresh scent in a skincare helps me to feel relaxed and freshen my mind. Tsuya skin’s smell is not too much yet it gives the fresh feeling whenever I smell it.

The texture: The texture is not  sticky yet moisturizing.

The packaging: The packaging is designed simple and handy. The size of the bottle is not too big and not too heavy for me to bring anywhere. The pump also helps me to measure the size of the pearl I am going to use.

Now I am going to share with you my skin care regime every night and what I have achieved with 7 days of using Tsuya Skin:

Firstly I cleanse my face with Shu Uemura Ultime8 Sublime Cleansing Oil. After that I applied Shu Uemura Tsuya Skin all over my face (pearl sized as shown in the picture above). I wait for about 1 minute until my skin absorb Tsuya skin, then I apply my Chanel Ultra Correction Lift Eye Cream for my under eye circle. The next would be The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisturizing Cream all over my face. That’s all for my night routine. But in the morning, I would top it with sunscreen, Avene High Protection (50 SPF) and continue with my powder and makeup

Personally I don’t have major skin problem. Thankfully my skin is not sensitive  and quite easy to take care. My skin is normal but tend to get very oily on the T-zone. I have pores on my nose which sometimes a bit annoying to see for me. I try using Tsuya skin in the past 14 days and I can see some changes in my skin.

Honestly after 7 days of trial, I can’t really see much changes on my skin. I still feel that my skin feels the same. I was a bit discouraged to see the result after 7 days. But I decided to keep on using it again. Miraculously after 10 days, I start to feel the difference. My skin feels subtler and softer. I feel so happy that I can see some difference Tsuya skin can bring to me. But it does not stop there, after 14 days of using Tsuya Skin, I also feel that my skin looks more radiant. I can see some glow every morning after I wash my face.

The picture below is taken 1 hour after I washed my face in the morning. There’s no Tsuya Skin, moisturizer or any skin care applied on my skin. I know my skin is not perfect but I can see some radiant :)

Final Thought:

I don’t see difference after using Tsuya skin for 7 days but I guess this product works differently on every one. I see the result of using Tsuya skin after 14 days of application. My skin looks more radiant, more subtle and softer. Moreover, the smell of this product is lovely! I love the scent which makes me feel fresh. This product is suitable for every woman aged 20 to 40+.

Thank you for reading :)
