Hello readers, if you like this page, don't forget to "Like" it !
Let’s talk about these new items on my stash which I purchased from Sephora. Jacqueline from MyBeautyHoard has been telling me how much she loves this product and I have seen a lot of swatches of these on her blog.
I picked up Rosegold and Amethyst to try for the first time.
Caviar Stick Eye Color comes in a very handy size; as the name suggest, it comes in a stick form and you can get the product by twisting the pen.
Laura Mercier comes in a buttery and soft texture. I love how the product just glides on my skin and shows the color in just one swipe. It doesn’t take too much effort to blend the color nicely – I usually use my finger or my eyeshadow blending brush like Tom Ford #13 Eyeshadow Blend Brush or MAC 217 to blend the colors evenly all over my lid.
I picked up Rosegold and Amethyst.
Rosegold is a soft gold tone with a pink undertone which is very nice to be used as a eyeshadow base. I usually apply this eyeshadow as a base color on my work days and I am good to go. For a more defined look, I am using Rosegold as a base and I will top it up with powder eyeshadow.
Amethyst is a deep brown with a purple undertone in it. It has golden shimmer in it. I use this on the corner of my eye to create a subtle smokey look. I also use this as an eyeliner; I picked up a slanted eyeliner brush and pick up the product and draw it on my lash line.
What I love most about Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour is the long lasting and the creaseless finish. Many cream eyeshadow crease on me and fade after I finish my day, but Caviar Stick Eye Color stays perfectly for almost the whole day without creasing. After using this for the whole day and try to remove it, it requires no hard effort at all. I am using my eye make up remover and I cleanse my eye make up using one cotton pad.
Overall, I am liking this caviar sticks for the ease of application and for the long staying power. These are my first purchase and definitely won’t be my last.

It’s been so long since we posted. Both of us are just back from our holiday. We’ll post more on our holiday & haul hopefully as soon as possible. Today I am going to show you my Laura Mercier Artist Palette. I bought this when Sephora had 20% discount. Let’s take a peek at the packaging!
The packaging caught my attention when I saw it at Sephora. It’s made of snake skin printed fabric. There’s a magnet at the bottom to make sure that the eyeshadow palette is secured properly.
It consist of 12 colors; 6 shimmery/velvety on the top row and 6 matte colors on the bottom row. The colors are very wearable for all skin tone. You can use this for both day look and night look. For me, this is the new NAKED palette which means my new favorite 🙂
Texture & Pigmentation:
The texture is very smooth, buttery and very well pigmented. It’s very easy to apply. I have not experienced fallout from most colors. I am usually a fan of shimmery eyeshadows rather than matte. But looking at this palette, I guess there’s no reason not to love the matte ones. The pigmentation are super awesome that it only needs two layer to have smooth finish. I have no negative thing to say about the texture of this palette. It’s definitely one of my favorite eye palette! I am not sure which one I love more between Urban Decay Naked and this one. Both are very travel friendly, have great color choices and awesome texture 🙂
If you are a fan of NAKED palette, I think you’ll like this one. I am not sure if this palette is necessary if you already have Naked palette but the texture and the quality of the eyeshadow is really worth looking at.
Thank you for reading.
I have been looking for good cream eyeshadows from many brands. I have tried Chanel Illusion d’Ombre, Shiseido Cream Color and few other brands. I finally tried LauraMercier Cream Eyeshadow in Alloy and I must say that I am in LOVE LOVE with this product!
The packaging looks very unappealing to me. It looks kinda boring; looks like a toothpaste tube to me. It’s very lightweight and small; it’s good for travelling necessities.
What I love most about this product is the texture. It’s creamy, easy to apply and it lasts for many hours without a single crease! Alloy is a creamy metallic cream color which is suitable for many skintones. It can be used as a eyeshadow base and also can be used itself as an eyeshadow. The color pigmentation is good but I like to build the color in 2-3 layers for maximum pigmentation. This cream eyeshadow works really well as a base; it holds pressed eyeshadows very well.
This retails for SGD 35 in Singapore Sephora & Tangs Beauty Hall Orchard. I find the price is rather expensive for this packaging, but since the quality of this product is great, I don’t have any complains on this.
The swatch above shows the color in indoor lighting. The left swatch is the amount of cream eyeshadow I usually use on both eyelids for 1 layer of application. The middle swatch is how 2-3 layers look like and the swatch on the right is how it looks like in 1 layer of application.
Laura Mercier Alloy is suitable for anyone who’s looking for a great cream eyeshadow which can also be used as an eyeshadow base. The color suits many skintone and it holds pressed eyeshadow for very long. I highly recommend this product!
I recently went to Taiwan for few days and I am loving it so much! Taiwanese are very nice people and they are very helpful. Although their English is quite minimal, I still survived with my minimal mandarin plus body language.I went to Shilin night market, Xi Men Ding, Yehliu geopark, Taroko Gorge (which is really gorgeous) and of course Taipei 101. Here are some photos I snapped with my instagram (@memoiselle)
and here’s a pic of what I bought:
1. NARS blush in Deep Throat and Angelika
2. Discontinued OPI Nail Polishes in Show It and Glow It, Shim-merry Chic, Glow Up Already, Pink Before you Leap
3. Jill Stuart Nail Polishes
4. Jill Stuart Blush
5. Jill Stuart Eye Jelly
6. Laura Mercier Nail Polish
7. Shu Uemura Limited Edition Eyelash Curler
8. Shu Uemura Eyeliner in Olive
9. Anna Sui Rose Cheek Color
10. NARS Eye Primer
I am looking forward to do write a review of them realll soon (hopefully 🙂 )
I am so happy that finally Laura Mercier is available in Sephora Singapore! Previously Laura Mercier was only available in True Colors in Ngee Ann City. Now that it has a counter in Sephora, I can easily go there and find something that I want. Recently I purchased these two products at Sephora ION Orchard. These are Baked Eye Color – Wet/Dry in Black Karat and Lip Plumper in Pink Pearl.
Black Karat is a gorgeous gold copper color. I love the opacity and the sparkle of the eyeshadow. It’s well pigmented and last very long. So far I have been using this for few days and does not experience any smudge after 6 hours. Another good thing about this eyeshadow is the versatility of the color to be blend with many colors. I can use this on its own or I can blend it with other colors.
Lip Plumper is a lip gloss that makes your lip looks fuller. I grabbed this pink pearl lip plumper because of its pretty color on the packaging. As soon as I saw this on the shelf, I know I should have this on my stash. The color is pretty sheer and it’s packed with shimmer. This lip plumper will look good if it’s layered on top of other color, however as swatched on my FOTD below, it would also look good on its own. Laura Mercier Lip Plumper does have some mint flavor. I personally prefer it to be plain, but this is not a big issue for me.
Please enjoy my FOTD below:
