La Maison Lancome

Today I have Lancome palette to show you guys. I knew the existence of this palette from Instagram and also this palette is Krisshop exclusive (I guess). They are no longer available I’m afraid, I’ve just get this not long ago because I have to troubled my cousin who lives in Singapore to get me this and waited till someone visit me in Sydney.

I believe the blush was available worldwide months ago? or maybe a year ago. I remembered saw this in Sydney sometime last year.

I LOVE Eiffel tower so much, why? I can’t explain it myself haha… So when I saw this I knew I must have it.  The palette is very pretty no doubt about it but the quality is kinda disappointing. All the colors are very sheer and not pigmented. And also the combination of the eyeshadow shades are not suitable for me..

Blush swatches:

I can’t capture the blush color when all three color blended because it is very sheer. The two light colors are shimmery (left and middle) while the darkest color is matte.

I will give this a miss, but I’m happy just to look at the palette :p

YSL Summer Look 2012 Pure Chromatics #8 Earthy and Eye Pencil in #8 Luminescent Gold

Summer is almost over but this does not stop me from buying summer make up. If you have been following us on instagram (@memoiselle) , I have posted photos from my Jakarta trip. I went back last week for my grandma’s birthday and I bought few items during my trip. I bought Pure Chromatics #8 Earthy, Eye Pencil #8 Luminescent Gold, YSL Touche Eclat and YSL Rouge Volupte in #7. 2 of the products I bought are part of YSL Summer Look 2012. Not everything I show here are mine, some are my mom’s :)

I have reviewed YSL Rouge Volupte #7 Pink Lingerie in my previous post. In this post I am going to review the Pure Chromatics and the Eye Pencil. This post is going to be picture heavy :)

 

Pure Chromatics #8 Earthy 

Pure Chromatics eyeshadow can be used wet and dry. That’s the reason why I love this range. #8 Earthy consists of 4 shimmering color. I like 3 colors from this pan. The upper left color is a nice color that can be used as a base. It’s a nice neutral color that won’t look too much for my skin (MAC NC20). The upper right color is the color that I least liked from this pan. It’s just a shimmering color that can be used as a highlight. The lower left color is very pretty too. This can be used as a base for a darker skin tone color or as a crease color for a fairer skintone. My favorite color from this palette is the lower right color, it’s a gorgeous khaki shade. I am surely using this to create a soft smoky look. The color is great for smokey look as this is not too dark for a daily use.

I swatched both dry and wet for you to see. The color shows much better when it’s swatched wet. Look at the pretty khaki color :)

Eye Pencil in #8 Luminescent Gold

At first I was not impressed by the color of this eyeliner. But after trying it on my inner corner, I gave up and get this one. In my opinion, great eyeliner must be soft, pigmented, smudge proof, waterproof and last for more than 6 hours. This eyeliner is very soft and pigmented, the color shows up easily. It only need one swipe to show the gorgeous color it has. Sadly this is not smudge proof; I swiped this on my hand and I smudged it after 3 minutes and I can see that some colors are scattered.

Then I did a waterproof test on this eyeliner. This product scores very well on this. I took this picture on my sink after I did the smudge test and you can see that the color stays there, it does not smudge because of water.

On the picture below, I am using #8 Luminescent Gold on my inner corner.

I am not going to review the touche eclat this time as it is my mum’s so I could not use it for few times before writing a review.

Anyway I am going to show my FOTD on my grandma’s bday. I curled my hair on special occasions and thought I would love to share the picture with you.

Products used:

Base Makeup: Avene Sunblock, YSL Touche Eclat in shade #2, MAC pressed powder in NC20

Eyes: Urban Decay Primer Potion, Urban Decay NAKED Palette, L’Oreal Infallible in Eternal Black, Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner in black, Lancome Eyebrow Pencil, Ardell False Eyelash in Daisy Black.

Cheeks: Burberry Summer Glow, Lunasol Glowing Powder Cheeks in EX03 Pure Coral Pink

Lip: Chanel Rouge Coco in #20 Rose Comete and Chanel Glossimer in #151 Aragonite

FOTD with Suqqu Himesango and Orange Lips

Today I am feeling like using my only orange lipstick (usually I am not comfortable with orange lips) and pair it with my Suqqu Himesango eyeshadow palette. In this look, I am emphasizing on my neutral eye looks and cheek. Orange lip can sometimes be difficult to pair with certain eye color, but with neutral eye colors, you can’t go wrong.

The products I am using here is very simple, you don’t need too many make up products to get this look.

Eyes:

NARS Smudge Proof Eye Primer

Suqqu Himesango 

Lancome Artliner

Lancome Hypnose Mascara

I applied NARS Smudge Proof eye primer all over my eyelid. Then I applied the taupe color from my Suqqu Himesango palette all over my eyelid with eye sponge. I want taupe to be the color all over my lid; however to make it look nicer, I applied pink eyeshadow from that palette on 1/3 of my inner corner lid. I also applied the dark purple eyeshadow on my outer corner, this is to create gradation on my eyelook. Then I blend all the colors together with my MAC 217 blending brush.

Cheek:

MAC Blush in Peaches

Since I am not emphasizing on the cheeks, I applied a thin layer of blush to keep it simple.

Lip:

Chanel Rouge Coco in Sari Dore #76

Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in Genie #52

Shopping haul!

Hi everyone!

Just a little haul that I’ve received recently, most of them are new products that I can’t wait to try except Lancome eye make up remover. I have tried various brands such as Kose, Kanebo, Chanel, No.7 and my favorite so far is Lancome.

Kiss Me Volume & Curl Mascara, Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner, K-Palette Lasting 2 Way Eyebrow, K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner

I love love liquid eyeliner lately, they’re so easy to use and long lasting. I’m in the search of the best liquid eyeliner ;) any recommendation?

I can’t get enough nail polishes and they tend to have new collection very often oh well… One from Miss Universe collection and three of them are from New York City Ballet collection. I have been looking the pretty swatches especially the Pirouette My Whistle on top of the sheer colors. Can’t wait to try myself!

FOTD with Chanel Epatant and Urban Decay Naked Palette

Hello ladies!

I had this make up few days ago and I want to share this to you. Few days ago I took leave from my work and I enjoyed my “me” time alot! i went to Orchard with my iPad and was sitting in a cafe the whole afternoon. While sipping a cup of green tea and munching a chocolate muffin, I just kept on browsing on beauty blogs. Oh how I love reading lovely post from many bloggers :) I am in love with my  blogging activities now!

Anyway I just love my eye looks that day. In my opinion, the eyeshadow blended very well and it’s not too much. It made my eyes look bigger and my hubby loved my look that day! :) Here are the products I was using:

For my eye:

I was using Chanel Epatant as a base. To give shimmer on my middle lid, I took my Urban Decay Palette in Half Baked. I avoid to have a heavy smokey eye look, so I soften my upper eyeshadow with Urban Decay Naked. For my eye highlighter I am using Benefit Tattle Tale mixed with Urban Decay Sin.

For my inner lid, I was using Benefit Tattle Tale and swipe it on 1/3 of my under inner lid.

The eyeliner used was MAC Technakohl in black. I am using this on my whole upper eye lid and my outer bottom lid.

The mascara was Lancome Hypnôse.

Since I want to emphasize on my eye look, I choose Lancome Butterflies Fever (reviewed here) as my blush. I swept the pinkish and purplish shade on my cheek and topped it with the cream shade as my highlighter.

was on my lip. As usual, pink lip is not always my favorite but I think this one looks good on me :)
