Launches: NEW ADVANCED NIGHT REPAIR CONCENTRATED RECOVERY POWERFOIL MASK

Lately I have been seeing many brands launching masks. It always excites me when I see a reputable brand launches  new anti-aging products or masks. When life gets me very busy, a normal skin care routine is not enough to boost my skin radiance. On days when I am too tired, I admit that on somedays I couldn’t be bothered to slap on serums/night creams but to let myself sleep immediately after all my work & chores are done. On days like those, masks play a very important role!

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair is a very popular serum worldwide, I personally love and have used the ANR Eye Serum before. It’s effective in making my eyes look brighter and looking less tired. Estee Lauder is now expanding their ANR range with having the mask as an addition.

ANR mask is not just another mask, it’s the brand’s first foil mask. The power-foil back sheet mask is designed with dual-matrix system; the inside matrix releases the concentrated treatment, while the outside matrix forms a protective cocoon that enhances penetration. Estee Lauder claims that with this technology, it enhances penetration 25x faster than normal cotton sheet mask.

Not just like other mask, the ANR mask comes in two piece for each packet of mask. You can see how the mask looks like as pictured below. It’s recommended to apply the bottom half first and then the top half. It’s quite a simple idea but a genius one as it helps the mask to stay on my face nicely without moving so much.

I’ve used ANR mask twice and I am confident to share that this mask has been effective in restoring and repairing my skin overnight. My skin instantly feels radiant and more moisturised. When I’m tired and my skin looks dull, this would certainly be my go-to mask. It’s recommended to use it for 10 minutes and to massage the remaining liquid, but I personally leave it on my face as I sleep through the night. In the next morning, my face looks brighter and much healthier.

It’s a very good mask and effective in doing its job, but this doesn’t come cheap too. Selling at SGD 120 for 4 pcs and SGD 216 for 8 pcs, it certainly quite expensive. But after looking at how effective this mask can be, I wouldn’t mind spending such amount and save it for days when I really need a boost for my skin or when I have an important event the next day. I highly recommend the mask for a luxury treat for your skin!

There’s a saying “The eyes are the window to the soul”. As I grow, I start to understand this saying. You can easily see if a person is happy, tired or stress just by looking straight in their eye. That’s how important eye area to me. Estee Lauder’s scientists found that the look of more light in the eye can bring the youthfulness in everyone.

Estee Lauder has recently launched the New Advance Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex which is packed with ChronoluxCB Technology claims to be able to restore skin over the night. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair comes in two types – the balm type and the liquid type. I tried both and I guess both serves its own fans well. The balm type can be rather sticky to me and hence on day time, I prefer to use the liquid type as it feels lighter and at night, I prefer to use the balm type. On my first experience using this, I can smell a slight scent but it gradually  diminished after few times usage.

This is how the balm texture looks like:

My eye area problem has always been about puffiness and occasional eyebag. What I love about the new advance night repair eye is that it helps to reduce the puffiness in my eyes after a week of use. When I wake up in the morning, my eyes looks less puffy, thanks to the New Advanced Night Repair Eye.

Estee Lauder Signature Silky Powder Blush – 14 Rose Nuance

Today I present this review to all of you. This is my first ever Estee Lauder blush. I am always very reluctant to purchase anything from Estee Lauder. I just don’t really like the packaging and the logo. However after looking at Eileen’s post from  PrettySeaEagle , I immediately fall in love with this. I saw this blush in Changi Airport during my trip to Indonesia last month and I grabbed this without any second thought.

I believe there are few shades for this blush but the one I picked is Rose Nuance. Correct me if I am wrong here but I think this blush has the pinkest shade among all the blush in this range.

As you can see, this blush is very beautiful. I love the color gradation in this pan that tells me I can use this blush as both highlighter and blush. The packaging is fine, it’s a standard Estee Lauder packaging. This case is made from plastic which kinda disappoints me, I would  be much happier if the case is made from metal. I don’t mind having a heavy metal case as long as it looks pretty. Despite the material made for this case, I am still loving this blush.

This blush produce semi matte finish. If you have been reading memoiselle, Meryl usually prefers blush thats contain shimmer. Although this blush does not contain any shimmer, I am still in love with this blush. It’s a good thing having a blush that’s a bit different with most of my blushes. As you can see, the color on the left is very pale, I like to use this color after I finished applying my blush. The color on the right side looks a bit too pink for my liking, hence I always end up swiping in the middle of this pan.

Final thought:

I am pretty satisfied with my purchase. The color gradation in this pan is too pretty to be missed. The color pigmentation is fine, it’s not too creamy and this blush produces a fine natural finish. Although I would much prefer this blush to be in a metal case, I still don’t have any complain over this product. As this product is my first purchase from Estee Lauder, I do not have any comparison to be made of.

Thank you for reading and leave me a comment of what you think of this product :)

Estee Lauder – Hydrationist Maximum Moisture Creme

First post about skin care, yay!

A year ago, I can’t think why people want to spend hundreds of dollar only for a small jar of night creme, a small bottle serum, or a tiny jar of eye cream. I used to think its such a waste of money also waste of time to apply those skincare. Until around a year ago, I had severe acne problems all of the sudden. When to few dermatologists, beautician for facials, taking medicines for months, been there done that.

Since then I take my skin care seriously. Now I using toner, serum, moisturizer, sunscreen and eye cream for my skin care routine.

Most of the stuff that I use is from Kose which is a Japanese brand anyway it’s a bit hard to find here in Sydney, so I have been tried a few different products from philosophy, kiehls. This cream is my latest purchase, I always want to try their products. They have different range of skin care, my concern at the moment is just to moisture my dry skin.

back of the box with list of ingredients, just in case any of you want to know :)

So far so good to me, it has enough moisture but didn’t leave an oily and shiny face, you can use both day and night. I personally use this at night time only and prefer moisturiser with SPF for morning.

I definitely try other products from Estee Lauder, my next target will be their skin illuminator or pore minimizing serum.
