In my latest haul, I picked up few things from Chanel Summer 2012 which are the duo eyeshadow and Chanel bronzing powder in Sable Beige. Seems like everyone in blogosphere adore the duo eyeshadow. And yes count me in! the texture is just lovely and the neutral shade, I was totally sold. The other item I bought is Chanel bronzer in Sable Beige, this item didn’t make it to the wish list in the first place but I bought it anyway.
Swatches of Chanel Sable-Émouvant Eyeshadow Duo, both shades are very pigmented especially the brown one.
I am very happy with the eyeshadow and also the bronzing powder, I haven’t got much time to play around with them until few days ago. As usual apply moisturizer, you don’t want to apply make up on dry skin then Chanel Perfection Lumiere foundation which my latest foundation from Chanel then I applied Burberry concealer (forgot to included in the picture) under my eyes to hide my dark and puffy eyes then set it with loose powder. For the eyes I applied the light color over my eyelids a bit over the crease then apply the darker color from outer eyelid halfway through, blend it with finger or blender blush, then use eyeliner. I used liquid eyeliner from dolly wink which again left out from the picture Sorry! I used false lashes in this FOTD with D-Up lashes glue which I found much better than Duo. For cheeks, I apply bronzer in my upper cheeks then swipe a bit of blush. And last but not least a touch of lipgloss.
Overall, can’t go wrong with neutral shades, hope you like it like I do. Have a good week
I had this make up few days ago and I want to share this to you. Few days ago I took leave from my work and I enjoyed my “me” time alot! i went to Orchard with my iPad and was sitting in a cafe the whole afternoon. While sipping a cup of green tea and munching a chocolate muffin, I just kept on browsing on beauty blogs. Oh how I love reading lovely post from many bloggers I am in love with my blogging activities now!
Anyway I just love my eye looks that day. In my opinion, the eyeshadow blended very well and it’s not too much. It made my eyes look bigger and my hubby loved my look that day! Here are the products I was using:
For my eye:
I was using Chanel Epatant as a base. To give shimmer on my middle lid, I took my Urban Decay Palette in Half Baked. I avoid to have a heavy smokey eye look, so I soften my upper eyeshadow with Urban Decay Naked. For my eye highlighter I am using Benefit Tattle Tale mixed with Urban Decay Sin.
For my inner lid, I was using Benefit Tattle Tale and swipe it on 1/3 of my under inner lid.
The eyeliner used was MAC Technakohl in black. I am using this on my whole upper eye lid and my outer bottom lid.
The mascara was Lancome Hypnôse.
Since I want to emphasize on my eye look, I choose Lancome Butterflies Fever (reviewed here) as my blush. I swept the pinkish and purplish shade on my cheek and topped it with the cream shade as my highlighter.
was on my lip. As usual, pink lip is not always my favorite but I think this one looks good on me
and here is the look:
Benefit Creaseless Creamshadows/Liner has been launched since 2009. The range of Benefit’s creamshadow is quite a lot and the colors they have are comparable to most of other brands’ creamshadows. I have purchased this creamshadow long ago. In fact, this is my oldest creamshadow.
Tattle tale is a champagne – light gold color with a shimmery effect. Since I’m a fair skinned asian, I usually wear this shadow ad a base color. I applied it all over my eyelid before I continue adding more colors to it. I also wear this as a highlighter as the color looks very soft in my skin tone thus it’s very suitable to use this as a highlighter.
For those of you who has a warm skin tone, this color would be great to use in the night time, the shimmer color would look outstanding in your eyelid. If you have been reading most of my posts, you’ll notice that I’m a fan of shimmery make up range. That’s why I love this creaseless creamshadow.
However, there’s one thing I don’t really like about this creamshadow. The texture is a bit hard, it’s not soft thus it’s a bit hard to blend the color. Apart from that, this creamshadow is a worth buying product.
Another review for eye primer, this time its from Benefit. It calls Benefit Stay don’t Stray that not only for eyes but als0 for concealer primer. As always, Benefit comes with really eye catching packaging and this primer works 360° around the eyes to make concealers and eyeshadow last longer. It comes only in one neutral nude shade.
It comes with a pump instead a brush which most of other brand have like Urban Decay Primer Potion (click here for review) or By Terry. I kinda love and hate the pump in this primer. Its good to have pump because it keeps the primer clean (I am a clean freak by the way :p) but I always tap too much and since the color a bit dark for my skin tone, I only need a little bit.
Benefit’s SA once told me that it can be use as concealer too!
Some reviews said it’s not suitable for oily eyelids, I personally found this primer does its jobs to keep your eyeshadow or eyeliner stay put but I hardly use it these days because now I found my new love which is Chanel creme eyeshadow or their fancy name Illusion D’Ombre (click here for review and swatches) and no primer needed!
