After all the hype of Guerlain Les Tendres for Spring 2015, I finally decided to write down what I think of the new Guerlain Meteorites Baby Glow. To tell you frankly, the first thing that attracts me to get this product is the name.. BABY GLOW! Yes glow, the healthy glow that I really need right now. My skin has been looking quite dry and dull due to hormonal changes, so when this product is hitting Singapore shore, I ran and grab it immediately LOL!
Guerlain Meteorites Baby Glow comes in a squeezable tube with pump.
Guerlain market this product not as a BB Cream or foundation but as a light revealing sheer make up. This is supposed to give you the glow that Meteorites gives but in the liquid form. It also promises to enhance the radiance of the complexion and wipe away signs of daily fatigue and stress.
Meteorites Baby Glow comes in 3 shades with 2Clair being the lightest, I picked 2 Clair and the swatch is as below. I find that shade 2 Clair is a tad too dark for me, I would love it even more if it comes in a lighter shade.
After trying this out many many times, I am happy to report that Meteorites baby glow provides the glow that it promise. Although it is quite sheer and not able to cover up my redness perfectly, I love the finish and the glow Meteorites Baby Glow provides. It has a matte finish yet it gives that healthy glow that I need. This is one of the liquid base that I don’t always use setting powder on top of it. It stays for a good 6-7 hours before it oxidises. With setting powder, it lasts up to 8-9 hours with me. Meteorites Baby Glow has the Guerlain Meteorites scent – I personally have been very sensitive to smell these days and it would be nicer if the product is not too heavily scented.
Comparing Meteorites baby glow with some other Guerlain’s make up base, I would say that all these 3 products below provides a different finish and texture. In terms of coverage, Lingerie de Peau provides the best coverage and the finish is more dewy compared to the healthy glow that Baby Glow provides. Comparing to BB Hydra, Baby glow has a more pinkish tone in it and BB Hydra leans more towards yellowish tone. The texture of BB Hydra is also more watery compared to Baby Glow.
Guerlain meteorites baby glow is a permanent product, so there’s no need to hurry to get this asap. Give it a try at the counter first and see if you will like the texture. As a final thought, I would say that Meteorites Baby Glow does not disappoint me. It provides the healthy glowing skin and fades away the fatigue looking skin. Moreover the staying power of this product is very good considering the humid weather here in Singapore. The only downside of this is the heavy scented product that might be a little bit overwhelming to me. Other than that, I am happy to say that Meteorites Baby Glow is worth trying especially if you like a lightweight product over your face.
Guerlain Meteorites Baby Glow is retailing at SGD 75 in Singapore
