My Shopping Haul

Hello again everyone! My sister just came visited me here in Sydney yesterday and I asked her to buy few things and she has done a very good job for getting everything on my list yay! As we know here in Sydney everything is overpriced so when someone come visit me, I have to make sure I make the most of it 😉 and some Japanese brands are difficult to find here in Sydney.

After reading Meryl’s review about Guerlain Travel Meteorites, I know I have to have it. Its way too cute to resist.  Finally I have Shiseido Prefect Foundation Brush, I want them badly but they have sold out everywhere in Sydney and Singapore. I hope its worth the price, you can read the detailed review of this brush in My Beauty Hoard which also the reason I want them so badly!

I have been in dilemma when choosing Dior Spring 2012 collection, I bought Dior Garden Roses eyeshadow palette at the end but the Garden Clutch in Changi Airport not too expensive and I’m totally sold with the pretty packaging.  More reviews and swatches coming soon and Have a great weekend everyone!

My New Year Eve Looks

Hello dearest readers!

It’s January the 2nd and I would like to share with you all my new year eve look. I spent my new year eve in my cousin’s home. It was such a nice gathering time with my big family. Therefore, I didn’t chooser a heavy make up look. Just a simple eye make up look for the gathering.

Here’s my look for that NY eve:

The face product I’m using:

Face Moisturizer: Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream

Sun Block: Eau Thermale Avene. (I use this as my foundation, I don’t own any other foundation)

Loose Powder: Poudre Universelle Libre in 20 Clair

Blush: Nars blush in Orgasm (reviewed here)

My eye make up:

Eye Products I’m using:

Eyeshadow: Urban Decay Ammo Palette in Grifter and Oil Slick ( will be reviewed soon, at the meantime the review can be read here)

Eye Primer: Urban Decay Primer potion (reviewed here)

Eye Liner: Bobbi Brown gel liner in black (reviewed here)

Mascara Base: Majolica Majorca Lash Bone Black Fiber (will be reviewed SOON)

Mascara: Dior Show 360 (reviewed here)

The lip products I’m using:

Lip Primer: Chanel Hydramax Active Lip Care (I have not done any review on this, I might do it later on)

Lip color: Chanel Rouge Coco in #20 Rose Comete (reviewed here)

Hope you have a fabulous new year eve party. 😀

Lancome | Beauty Box

Once I’ve seen it on catalog, I know I have to buy it.  It has a few little different things and for AUD99 its quite worth it 😀 I have to say I love gift sets or gift packs which has many things even though they’re all in mini sizes err… but there are two products which are the normal size.

I am a bit surprised when I looked at this box in David Jones and Myer, It is bigger than in picture. The box itself look really Christmas with red flower ribbon and glitter all over it.

So what’s inside?

– Miracle Eau de Parfum 5ml

– Bi-Facil Make Up Remover (full size)

– 3 different shades of mini L’Absolu Lipstick

Smaller than the normal size lipstick or Chanel Rouge Coco Shine as in picture. It comes with 3 different colors which are pink, nude/brown and red shade.

The picture below doesn’t really shown the color hope the swatches below is good enough 🙂

– Mini Le Crayon Kohl Eye Pencil in Black

– Eye Shadow & Blush compact

– 3 piece Lancome Brush kit

– Genifique Youth Activator 7ml

– Genifique Eye Cream 5ml

– Teint Miracle Foundation 5ml

– Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara (full size too!)

I have tried all the lipsticks. My thoughts on that are the lipstick is a bit creamy (I don’t use lipstick much though) but all 3 colors are wearable even the bright red color and the size is so cute, perfect to fit in the small clutch and wristlets.

For the eyeshadow and blush compact, the color also nice and I don’t mind use them all. The only thing that let me down is the compact is a bit difficult to open 🙁

Love the brush kit so much. It doesn’t have much different size with the normal size Lancome Brush. This is one of the reason I bought this gift box.

With 2 products in full size, which probably value around $90 too, might as well buy this box right?

Oh anyway it’s a perfect gift too even though it does difficult for not getting one for yourself.

Unfortunately, in David Jones you can only use their credit cards or store cards to purchase this beauty box. Not too sure about Myer, but I heard you have to buy a perfume to buy this beauty box.

Hope everyone have a great Christmas and bless New Year!

Chanel Les 4 Ombres Eye Shadow Quad – 29 Lagons

This eyeshadow palette is launched in spring 2011. I bought this palette a while ago but rarely using it. I’m not really into a blue eyeshadow but I’d love to have one. There are 4 different shades in this palette. Only 2 of them are well pigmented, the rest are just okay.

The 4 colors in this palette are : a very pale blue (more to highlighting your brow bone area), a grey-ish blue (this one is well pigmented), a dark ocean blue (very well pigmented), and a baby blue (again, this one is not well pigmented)

This eyeshadow quad was released around january/February 2011, but until now I still see this on most Chanel store in Singapore. I guess this has been added to Chanel permanent collection (correct me if I’m wrong).

Here I’m going to swatch the color for you. In the first picture, I’m swatching it on the upper palm of my hand. My skin color is darker there. While on the second picture, I’m swatching it on my arm which has a fairer color compared to my upper palm.

As you can see on both pictures, there are 2 colors that are heavily pigmented and the rest are just fine.

My overall review on this quad is: for a die hard chanel fans, this is a must have eye shadow quad because the blue colors are just very pretty. However for you guys who aren’t really into blue color, this is just an option. 🙂

Xoxo,

MeMo 🙂

Les Aquarelles De Chanel – Ombres Tissées Beiges Swatch

3 days ago, I was very busy with something and suddenly I got a call from Chanel Make up in ION Orchard telling me that they have a new limited edition highlighter. It’s from the Les Aquarelles De Chanel collection. I was very busy with my things that day so I thought that they offered me a Topkapi eyeshadow palette from Byzance Collection (reviewed by one of my favorite make up blogger), so I called them back to confirm whether it’s a Byzance Collection or is it a different one. They told me that the new item coming in was from Les Aquarelles De Chanel collection. So then I decided to take a look after I finish with my schedule.

Les Aquarelles Collection is the make up collection which is used for Chanel Couture Show in Paris. The purpose of this make up is to emphasize the natural look of the models. The colors of their make up is very natural. It’s mostly quite pale but very pretty.

When I walked in to the store, my favorite make up artist from Chanel greeted me and offered me this Ombres Tissées Beiges. As usual, Chanel’s packaging is always very pretty. They are very sparkly and and cute.

As you can see, the color is very soft. It’s not highly pigmented. But it’s definitely going to be my favorite highlighter for my nose, cheek bones and eyes. Here I’m going to swatch the color for you:

The left color is the top color of the palette. The middle color is the second, and lastly the pink color on my hand is the color at the bottom of the palette.

I really can’t wait to experiment my make up today to create a sparkly look for this weekend 🙂

Ombres Tissées Beiges is retailing exclusively in Chanel ION Orchard at $95

Happy weekend guys,

XoXo,

MeMo 🙂
