This post is supposed to be up since a month ago but because of many things I only get the chance to post it now. My love for Rouge Coco shine has been growing since my first purchase of Evasion 6 months ago. I have been wearing Evasion regularly and I am surprised that I have used half of it 🙂 When Chanel released few more colors last month, I decided to grab few more colors. Recently I purchased two Rouge Coco Shine 70 Sourire and 62 Monte Carlo. Sourire is a newly released Rouge Coco Shine, this was released in May. Monte Carlo is an oder shade but i have no clue of when this was released.
Sourire is a pink petal color that looks very beautiful when swatched on my arm. The pink color is not that extreme yet gives that natural fresh looking to my skin. Currently I am very much in love with this lipstick and keep on wearing this everyday. The thing I love about Rouge Coco Shine range is that whatever color that you pick, it won’t look too much as it emphasizes on the shine of the color.
Monte Carlo is a sheer red with minimal pink glitter inside. I want to start using red lipstick for dinner but I really can’t stand looking at my face with a red bold lipstick. Whenever I am wearing a red lipstick, I always end up removing it at the restaurant and change it to a daring pink color. Rouge Coco Shine Monte Carlo offers a red looking lip in a sheer look. At first when I tried this on my lip, I’d still feel weird to see a red lip on me. However as I kept on looking, I feel that this lipstick is worth a try. It doesn’t look as daring as other red lipstick in Rouge Coco range.
I think this lipstick is more suitable to people who wants to start wearing red lipstick but still uncomfortable looking at themselves in a red lip color. Monte Carlo provides a sheer red finish so that people like me would still feel comfortable looking at themselves with a red lipstick.
I think Chanel Rouge Coco Shine range has never disappoint me. There are many colors in this range yet it provides a sheer and natural looking finish. It’s very suitable for people who loves natural looking lips with a high shine finish. I don’t have any regret buying these lipsticks. If you are looking for a sheer looking lipstick, Sourire gives you the perfect color; whereas if you’re looking for a red lipstick but don’t dare to wear a bold red, you can give Monte Carlo a try.

I am adding two Chanel glossimers to my lipgloss stash. I am such a big fan of Chanel glossimers because of the sparkles they have. Although the color is not too intense, Chanel glossimer is able to add a touch of glam to whatever lipstick you are wearing. I have tried many lipgloss products but I found that most of them are just adding gloss; they don’t add that “extra glam” into my lip.
142 Pink Teaser
The pink-coral color looks quite intense on the tube, however it looks quite sheer when swatch on my hand. This lipgloss reminds me of NARS Orgasm blush. Although NARS Orgasm looks more towards peachy, I think Pink Teaser is a good pair to wear with NARS Orgasm blush. I love the gold shimmer on this lipgloss, it makes this lipgloss looks very fun and lively.
I am deeply in love with Aragonite. This is my 2nd tube and I am not bored to wear this again and again. This is a very sheer lipgloss with holographic micro shimmers inside. I love to layer this lipgloss on top of my favorite lipsticks. On my workdays usually I would wear a pinkish nude lipstick, however when I need to go somewhere after work, I would layer Aragonite on top of my lipstick. With just a layer of aragonite, I am able to get a different look for the night.
Here’s a picture of Aragonite on my lips:

Aragonite is a must have! It adds a different look with any lipstick color you have. If you are looking for a great lipgloss, this is definitely a good pick! 🙂

I am so happy that finally I am able to get this YSL Glossy stains! If you’re a regular beauty blog readers, you’ll know that the beauty blogsphere has been flooded with people raving about this product. Most of them said that this is one of the best lip product they have ever had and many of them said that this is one of their holy grail product.
I got this together with YSL Pure Chromatic Dry & Wet Eyeshadow in #3 (here) while I was in Jakarta. Although the Gloss stains collection is not that impressive, at least I am still able to get it. It is retailing at IDR 285,000 (40 SGD or 31.6AUD). I tried few colors there but the one that caught me was #17. It’s a bright pink color that brighten up my look.
The texture of glossy stains is very different with other lip product; it’s not a lip gloss and it’s not a lipstick. I thought this would be similar to Chanel liquid lipstick. I was totally wrong. YSL Gloss Stain is somehow very sheer and to get an opaque look, I need to layer about 3 times. After few minutes, you’ll see that there’s a gloss (not as glossy as a lipgloss) and the color is very opaque. Overall I am liking this product because of it’s uniqueness. However I found that my lips peeled a bit after I used this. I am not sure whether this happens with you all. Maybe I should prime my lip with some lipbalm first before applying this.
As you can see in the swatch below, the color looks lovely on my skintone. Lately I have been wearing lots of pink lipsticks and lipgloss, and I am sure I will wear this often.
My overall opinion on this product:
YSL Gloss stains is a unique product which is very different from other lip products. Somehow it gives you the opaque look while it doesn’t make your lip feels heavy (I tend to feel this when I am wearing an opaque lipstick). The gloss looks pretty and not too much. This product is a good-to-have-product. While many bloggers are loving this product a lot, I don’t think I’ll spend my money to buy a lot of this (Maybe one more?) but I am sure that I am still liking Chanel Rouge Coco Shine more than this. Price wise I think this is reasonably priced. The packaging is very YSL (gold and classy), this is much simpler than other YSL lip product and I like it.
Have you guys tried this? What do you think of it?
I hope it’s not too late to post Spring collection. Dior Garden Clutch is part of Dior Spring Collection that has been sold quite a while ago. I bought this from Changi Airport not long ago because of the pretty packaging as usual doh! I also had Dior Spring eyeshadow palette (read here).
Beside that the flower pattern in the shadows also to die for and I love how they have a separate compartment for the lip gloss. So the lip gloss will keep clean without any dust from the shadows.
This is the swatch taken in natural sunlight, nothing special with the color but they’re all wearable and versatile color. I just love the packaging so much 🙂
This is an overdue review, apologize for the delay. Work and study have been busy and hectic in the last couple of weeks.
Urban Decay Naked 2 – this latest collection of twelve never-boring neutrals (5 of them NEW!) in matte, shimmer and glitter textures expands your range of sultry looks.
I don’t have Naked 1 so I can’t compare the color unfortunately. The palette is quite huge considering there are 12 shades. First time I tried it, its just okay but after few more trials it’s kinda growing on me. I love how you can mix and match the colors and also the palette consists of matte, shimmer and also glitters. I mostly use 3 or 4 shades.
Here’s the swatches on my arm – under natural lights and no primer used! See how the colors so bright even without primer.
Last but not least, the swatch on the tiny lip gloss
I’m a big fan of neutral shade eyeshadow and it suit me very well, so I said this palette is worth it. Can’t resist myself for not taking pictures of my small nude shade collections 🙂 Have a good week everyone!
