I recently went to Taiwan for few days and I am loving it so much! Taiwanese are very nice people and they are very helpful. Although their English is quite minimal, I still survived with my minimal mandarin plus body language.I went to Shilin night market, Xi Men Ding, Yehliu geopark, Taroko Gorge (which is really gorgeous) and of course Taipei 101. Here are some photos I snapped with my instagram (@memoiselle)
and here’s a pic of what I bought:
1. NARS blush in Deep Throat and Angelika
2. Discontinued OPI Nail Polishes in Show It and Glow It, Shim-merry Chic, Glow Up Already, Pink Before you Leap
3. Jill Stuart Nail Polishes
4. Jill Stuart Blush
5. Jill Stuart Eye Jelly
6. Laura Mercier Nail Polish
7. Shu Uemura Limited Edition Eyelash Curler
8. Shu Uemura Eyeliner in Olive
9. Anna Sui Rose Cheek Color
10. NARS Eye Primer
I am looking forward to do write a review of them realll soon (hopefully 🙂 )
Hello again everyone! My sister just came visited me here in Sydney yesterday and I asked her to buy few things and she has done a very good job for getting everything on my list yay! As we know here in Sydney everything is overpriced so when someone come visit me, I have to make sure I make the most of it 😉 and some Japanese brands are difficult to find here in Sydney.
After reading Meryl’s review about Guerlain Travel Meteorites, I know I have to have it. Its way too cute to resist. Finally I have Shiseido Prefect Foundation Brush, I want them badly but they have sold out everywhere in Sydney and Singapore. I hope its worth the price, you can read the detailed review of this brush in My Beauty Hoard which also the reason I want them so badly!
I have been in dilemma when choosing Dior Spring 2012 collection, I bought Dior Garden Roses eyeshadow palette at the end but the Garden Clutch in Changi Airport not too expensive and I’m totally sold with the pretty packaging. More reviews and swatches coming soon and Have a great weekend everyone!
Guerlain Meteorites Pearl is one of the most discussed product in beauty blogging world. The packaging is so cute, unique and it’s a Guerlain. I have been wanting to buy this for so long but because of its price, I kept on saying no for quite long. Well then I found this duo at Changi Airport and I think again.. why not this time 😉 ? I grabbed this travelling pearl and had no regret at all.
The packaging consists of 2 kinds of pearl; powders face and blush. Both comes with its own brush. The blush color is just nice for my skin tone. It’s not too heavily pigmented for daily use and it’s not packed with heavy shimmer. The best thing about this blush is obviously the pearl. I just love dabbing the brush into the pearl and apply it to my face. It makes me feel happy. I know it’s weird but that’s just it 😉
Okay now it’s going to be picture heavy. Please enjoy the picture 🙂
As you can see, the pearl in the face powder is much more subtle in color. The color is very hard to be captured from my camera. The pink pearls are just too cute to be used too often. They are just CUTE.
Here’s how the brush looks like. It’s a kabuki-like brush. I’d say this is one of the best brush given from any of the blush I own. This brush is very nice to be applied. The size is just nice to apply blush on my cheek and it feels smooth too.
I found 4 different colors in the blush pearls. I found a lilac color, pink color, a peach color and a sheer shimmering white pearl color.
I also found 4 different colors in this face powder pearls. It has a lilac color as well (it’s the one at the back but my camera didn’t capture the color), a yellow, a peach and a baby green color.
And finally here’s the swatch:
I just love the color! It looks natural on me. Not too much shimmer and it looks fresh! For picture taking purpose, I have applied a thicker blush to show the color to all of you. I prefer to have a more natural finish for my everyday look. However, I don’t mind having a pinkish cheek to work as well. 🙂
Hi lovely readers! How was your Christmas? I wish that it was a fun and joyous day for you all 😀
Today I’m going to show you this Bobbi Brown Brick Compact in Rose. This product can be worn as a bronzer, blush and a highlighter as well. I pick this on Changi Airport because it’s so much cheaper compared to the selling price in the department store outside the airport. The selling price in airport was about $50-$60 (I can’t remember the exact price).
As you can see in the picture above, this shimmer brick compact is very shimmery. If you have been reading my blog, you’ll know that I’m such a shimmer lover. That’s why I suddenly fell in love when I saw this compact for the first time 🙂
The pink color of the blush looks soft enough for me. I love pink color on my cheeks, it just brighten my daily looks. It makes my skin looks more fresh.
One thing I like about this product is the heavy shimmer they have. I usually will put extra highlighter on my cheeks after I applied my blush. But with this product, I would not need to do so again. The shimmer inside this product is good enough to make my skin looks more glossy.
Here’s how it looks on my skin 🙂
I love how it looks on my cheeks. It’s not too much for me and it looks very sweet on my skin. 😀
HAPPY HOLIDAY GUYS!!
This Lancome Butterflies Fever blush was part of Lancome Spring 2011. I have no long comments on this product. The only reason I bought this product is merely because of its packaging. I admit that I’m not able to resist such a beautiful product.
The butterfly pattern in this blush makes me drool everytime I see it. The bow and butterfly are just so girly. For me, the pattern of this blush reminds me of how beautiful spring season can be. It’s so calming and fresh. 🙂
Although I’m not a big Lancome fan, but I admit that this blush has one of the prettiest pattern ever.
Lets see how it looks on my arm!
To be honest, I wouldn’t say that the color is fantastic or extraordinary. The color is just okay. But one best thing about this color is that there’s a hint of purple tone in the color. I don’t have any purplish pink color blush in my make up stash. So adding this into my collection is not a mistake 😉
