Suqqu Balancing Eyebrow 01 Moss Green and FOTD

This eyebrow kit is my first every eyebrow kit. I usually draw my eyebrow with eyebrow pencil or using a powder eyeshadow. But after looking at this kit in person, I decided to give it a try. I bought this at Selfridges London at £38.

The packaging of Suqqu Balancing Eyebrow kit is  the same as the eyeshadow but it’s a little bit smaller. It also comes with a velvety pouch and two brushes. One angled brush for the eyebrow application and one small brush for nose shading.

This balancing eyebrow kit consist of 3 colors. a soft brown, a khaki green and a matte creme. The soft brown and the khaki green are meant for our eyebrows and the creme is meant for nose shading.

The pigmentation of this kit is fine, just nice for eyebrow. It’s not too dark but it gives a very nice touch to your eyebrow. However I am a bit disappointed with the texture; the texture is not as good as their eyeshadow. It’s not that soft and not buttery. I would expect all Suqqu products to be outstanding for the price that I have paid but I guess it’s not the case for this balancing eyebrow kit.

Here’s a picture of my brow and my look of the day:

Final Thought:

Suqqu Balancing eyebrow is a nice to have thing. I would say the product does its job to enhance my brow; making my brows look bolder and more stands out. However for a such expensive price that I paid for an eyebrow kit, I am not that satisfied with the texture of the eyebrow powder that’s a bit dry.

Uk Trip Haul :D

Hello guys!

I have been shopping a lot during the holiday! UK has plenty of makeup brands that I could not find in Singapore and I took the chance of getting those things! I know I’ve been a bad girl during the holiday. When I reached home after the holiday, I felt guilty looking at my new stuffs :( But anyway I enjoyed my holiday so much and now I should work hard to pay off those shopping damages LOL :D

This is Suqqu counter in Selfridges Manchester. I didn’t take more pictures as I was too excited to look for products here. I had fun swatching many products. There are many items that are not available there because I think it sold out pretty quickly.

Here are my Suqqu haul; 2 eyeshadow, 1 blush and 1 eyebrow palette.

These pictures are also taken in Illamasqua counter in Selfridges Manchester.  The Illamasqua counter there is very happening with 3 SAs that have dramatic makeup and dresses! The thing that gets me most excited is to see their blushes. I have Illamasqua blush in Hussy and I love it to bits. I had fun swatching at the blush counter and decided to pick

I purchased three items from Illamasqua; a blush, an eye palette and a cream highlighter.

I picked this Chantecaille Classic Palette in Harrods. This palette was on sale together with the Tiger in the Wild palette. Chantecaille products pricing are so expensive even after the price reduction. I paid (£50 or £75, can’t remember exactly). Honestly I bought this only because I want to collect a product from a brand that I have never had before. I will do a review about this palette soon (I hope :) )

Drugstore Haul from Boots & Superdrug

I had fun in both Superdrugs and Boots mostly in between Christmas – New year because they are having generous promotions. I bought quite a number of products there as they are having a “Buy 2 get 3″ promotions and I will get a free goodie bag when I buy 5 products or more. Gosh I could not control myself and bought there things with me. I know I am a bad girl when it comes to shopping but I’ll give myself an excuse since this is a year end holiday :p

Real Technique Brushes

Sleek Eye and Blush Palettes

Miscellaneous brands – Maybelline Color Tattoo, Revlon Lipstain, Max Factor lipfinity, Loreal Eyeshadow, Rimmel Eyeliner, etc.

Model’s Own and Barry M are one of those brands that excites me the most in Boots and Superdrug. Their glittery nail polishes are to die for! Barry M nail polishes were about £3-£5 each and Model’s Own were about £5 each.

That’s all I have for you :)

I have many things to be reviewed and please be patient with me LOL.

Thank you for reading.

YSL Summer Look 2012 Pure Chromatics #8 Earthy and Eye Pencil in #8 Luminescent Gold

Summer is almost over but this does not stop me from buying summer make up. If you have been following us on instagram (@memoiselle) , I have posted photos from my Jakarta trip. I went back last week for my grandma’s birthday and I bought few items during my trip. I bought Pure Chromatics #8 Earthy, Eye Pencil #8 Luminescent Gold, YSL Touche Eclat and YSL Rouge Volupte in #7. 2 of the products I bought are part of YSL Summer Look 2012. Not everything I show here are mine, some are my mom’s :)

I have reviewed YSL Rouge Volupte #7 Pink Lingerie in my previous post. In this post I am going to review the Pure Chromatics and the Eye Pencil. This post is going to be picture heavy :)

Pure Chromatics #8 Earthy

Pure Chromatics eyeshadow can be used wet and dry. That’s the reason why I love this range. #8 Earthy consists of 4 shimmering color. I like 3 colors from this pan. The upper left color is a nice color that can be used as a base. It’s a nice neutral color that won’t look too much for my skin (MAC NC20). The upper right color is the color that I least liked from this pan. It’s just a shimmering color that can be used as a highlight. The lower left color is very pretty too. This can be used as a base for a darker skin tone color or as a crease color for a fairer skintone. My favorite color from this palette is the lower right color, it’s a gorgeous khaki shade. I am surely using this to create a soft smoky look. The color is great for smokey look as this is not too dark for a daily use.

I swatched both dry and wet for you to see. The color shows much better when it’s swatched wet. Look at the pretty khaki color :)

Eye Pencil in #8 Luminescent Gold

At first I was not impressed by the color of this eyeliner. But after trying it on my inner corner, I gave up and get this one. In my opinion, great eyeliner must be soft, pigmented, smudge proof, waterproof and last for more than 6 hours. This eyeliner is very soft and pigmented, the color shows up easily. It only need one swipe to show the gorgeous color it has. Sadly this is not smudge proof; I swiped this on my hand and I smudged it after 3 minutes and I can see that some colors are scattered.

Then I did a waterproof test on this eyeliner. This product scores very well on this. I took this picture on my sink after I did the smudge test and you can see that the color stays there, it does not smudge because of water.

On the picture below, I am using #8 Luminescent Gold on my inner corner.

I am not going to review the touche eclat this time as it is my mum’s so I could not use it for few times before writing a review.

Anyway I am going to show my FOTD on my grandma’s bday. I curled my hair on special occasions and thought I would love to share the picture with you.

Products used:

Base Makeup: Avene Sunblock, YSL Touche Eclat in shade #2, MAC pressed powder in NC20

Eyes: Urban Decay Primer Potion, Urban Decay NAKED Palette, L’Oreal Infallible in Eternal Black, Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner in black, Lancome Eyebrow Pencil, Ardell False Eyelash in Daisy Black.

Cheeks: Burberry Summer Glow, Lunasol Glowing Powder Cheeks in EX03 Pure Coral Pink

Lip: Chanel Rouge Coco in #20 Rose Comete and Chanel Glossimer in #151 Aragonite

If you like YSL Pure Chromatics, I have previously reviewed YSL Pure Chromatics in No 3 , that’s a gorgeous palette too :)

So can you guess which product(s) belong to me and which one(s) belong to my mum? :p

I am very happy I can share this long post with you. I hope you enjoy this post. Leave me a comment below to let me know what you think :)

Chanel Summer 2012 – Intense Eye Pencil in #75 Pêche Cuivré

Summer make up items have been hitting the store these few weeks and I must say I am not tempted to buy most of the items. However Chanel’s eye pencil in Pêche Cuivré seems to be a good thing to pick up. I have read few positive reviews about this and thought I should grab this and give it a try.

As you can see in the picture above, it’s not too light in color but I am sure it would still brighten up the eye. I don’t have anything like this in my stash so I don’t have anything to compare with Pêche Cuivré. What I love about this eye pencil is that this is creamy. It’s very easy to use, well pigmented and suits my skin tone very well. I think this is going to be a good pick for girls who wants to have an eye pencil for inner corner that’s not too much. The color won’t look too obvious for daily make up, but it will make your eyes look bigger.

I have taken a picture with me using Pêche Cuivré;

Eye make up worn in the picture:

I applied a thick amount of NYX jumbo eye pencil in Black Bean (reviewed here) all around my eyelid. I topped it again of MAC in Carbon (here). And to soften the look, I applied beige color from the YSL Pure Chromatic (here). The falsies I am using was just a random falsies I got from night market in Taipei. To finish the eye look, I applied Pêche Cuivré to my inner corner.

My final thought on this product:

I am liking this product because of it’s quality. I love creamy eye pencil and I hate dry pencil. Creamy eye pencil are very easy to wear and not irritating to apply on. Although this might smudge a little bit, I don’t have any problem with it since the color is very light and it won’t ruin my make up.

Shopping haul!

Hi everyone!

Just a little haul that I’ve received recently, most of them are new products that I can’t wait to try except Lancome eye make up remover. I have tried various brands such as Kose, Kanebo, Chanel, No.7 and my favorite so far is Lancome.

Kiss Me Volume & Curl Mascara, Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner, K-Palette Lasting 2 Way Eyebrow, K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner

I love love liquid eyeliner lately, they’re so easy to use and long lasting. I’m in the search of the best liquid eyeliner ;) any recommendation?

I can’t get enough nail polishes and they tend to have new collection very often oh well… One from Miss Universe collection and three of them are from New York City Ballet collection. I have been looking the pretty swatches especially the Pirouette My Whistle on top of the sheer colors. Can’t wait to try myself!
