Suqqu Blend Eyeshadow Color in EX 11 Sumiredama

Hello everyone!

Today I have Suqqu Sumiredama to show you all. Sumiredama is part of Suqqu spring 2013 collection. I am so lucky that I am able to get my hands on this eyeshadow palette. Monica’s sister is so kind to help me to get this palette while she’s in Japan. I am glad that Sumiredama is now part of my make up collection :)

The Packaging:

Sumiredama has a slightly different packaging compared to other Suqqu eyeshadow palette. The color of the casing is in white color with a bit of holographic hues in it. The size is the same with the usual Suqqu eyeshadow packaging. It comes with a tiny brush and sponge.

The Shade & Texture:

One thing that attracts me so much to this eyeshadow palette is the duochromes shade on the bottom left and the top right. I am not really good in describing shades but I hope this helps:

Top Left: The shade in this palette is true to pan – it’s a sheer pale pink. This shade needs to be swatched twice to show the shade.

Top Right: a gorgeous duochrome taupe – bronze. This shade is less sheer compared to the shade on the top left. The pigmentation of this shade is awesome, the color shows perfectly on the first swatch.

Bottom Right: It looks quite yellow in the pan but when it is swatched, it looks more of a milky shade with a very fine shimmer.

Bottom Left: Again this is a duochrome shade; purple – blue toned shimmer. This is the shade that makes me going gaga over this palette. The pigmentation is awesome, it blends perfectly.

Suqqu is famous for its soft & buttery texture. I have to admit that the duo crome shade in Sumiredama has a slightly different texture with my other Suqqu palette. I am not sure if this is because of the duo chrome shade but the purple-blue (bottom left) is rather dry. The shade is truly gorgeous but the texture is not as soft as the other shade in this palette. The other three shade has a great texture – no complains at all.

Fallout is not an issue of this palette. All four shade applies nicely and sets perfectly with primer. The shade lasts for 6 hours with me.

Final Thought:

Suqqu has great range of eyeshadow palette for every day use. I tend to be hesitant to get Suqqu products as it’s expensive and the color looks rather boring after owning few palette of theirs. However Sumiredama is worthy to be acquired for its gorgeous shade. Suqqu has amazed me with the duo chrome shade in their spring collection.

I hope my review helps :)

Here are list of Suqqu eyeshadow that I have reviewed in the past:

Shu Uemura Tokyo Lights Palette

Hello everyone!

Have you ever wanting a practical & cute design for your everyday eyeshadow? The eyeshadow palette that will fullfil your everyday eye makeup needs? If so, you need to read my review of Shu Uemura Tokyo Light Palette :)

Today I bring you a Shu Uemura eyeshadow palette in Tokyo Lights. I believe this eyeshadow is a Japan exclusive, however this is also available on Singapore Airlines Krishop or Cathay Pacific Marcopolo. I bought this palette when I travel with Cathay Pacific. I doubt this palette will be featured on the inflight magazine for a long time, so I suggest that if you know that you or your friend are travelling with Singapore Airline/Cathay Pacific, go and get it :)

The Packaging:

Shu Uemura Tokyo Lights comes in the usual Shu Uemura eyeshadow case. The design of this palette is very cute; it looks very kawaii! I love the pink prints of Tokyo towers and that twinkling lights. It reminds me of the beautiful lights in Tokyo at night. The palette does not comes with any mini brush or sponge. The design of this palette is just simple and practical.

The Color & Texture:

This palette has a beautiful combination of 6 neutrals eyeshadow shades. The colors are mostly shimmery  but the darkest brown is a matte shade. The palette consist of a matte brown shade, a shimmery dark chocolate brown, a shimmery champagne pink, a shimmery soft woody brown, a glittery gold and a glittery white shade. The shade

The texture of the eyeshadow is very soft. There’s a minimal amount of fallout which doesn’t really annoys me. I really like the softness of these eyeshadow. The feeling of swiping my finger on this eyeshadow pan is like touching a velvet pouch :) No, I am not kidding! This eyeshadow is REALLY SOFT!  It is also very buttery and smooth. The pigmentation of this eyeshadow varies among the shades. The glittery shades are leaning more towards sheer. The rest of the colors have great pigmentation; the color shows up even in just one swipe.

As you can see, the shades are so beautiful. They are nicely pigmented, buttery and super smooth. I have lots of neutral eyeshadow palettes on my drawers, but I dare to say that this would be one of my all time favorite! The packaging looks so cute yet not too big for my make up pouch. I can bring this on my every day make up bag for my day and night eye look :)

Final Thought:

Chanel Raffinement review

Hola!

I have Chanel Raffinement to show to you today! I bought this eyeshadow quad from Saks.com :) Jacqueline from Mybeautyhoard was so kind arrange orders from me, Joy from LookNookHook, Ruby from  Miaka-Mylife and Luna from Lunalunaface so that we can share the shipping cost :) Jacqueline has posted about our haul in her blog here.

I am sure most of you have read the review of this product since early this year when it was first released. When I saw the swatches online, I know I had to get this one but only in US version. I have swatched this quad at the counter and as usual the Asian/Euro baked version does not feel as smooth as the US version. I am glad that finally I own Raffinement in US version.

The Packaging:

I won’t be talking much about the packaging as the packaging looks the same like other Chanel eyeshadow quad. It comes with a velvety pouch and two mini sponges.

The Texture:

The texture is so smooth; it glides on nicely when I swatch it. I see some fallout on the champagne color but the rest of the shades are fine. The pigmentation of this quad is fine; it’s not sheer and it’s not overly pigmented too. I think the pigmentation level is suitable for people who wants both soft eye look or even a heavy smokey eye as the color is buildable.

IMG_4988

The Shade:

All the shades in this quad is very wearable. On the top lest is a taupe with a frost shimmer. On the bottom left is a frosty champagne; I foresee that I would use this shade as a base a lot.On the top right is a cream with a heavier frost and on the bottom left is a dark brown with frost sheen.

The Eye Look:

Final Thought:

I am a happy girl to own this quad. This quad has wearable shades which can be worn day for day and night look. The texture is lovely and it’s up to my expectation of a Chanel quad! Yayness :D

So ladies, what’s your favorite quad so far? Share it with me :)

Urban Decay – The Theodora & Glinda Palette

Hi everyone…

I know this might be a very very late review but better than nothing right? and the good thing is, The Glinda palette is still available in BeautyBay.com though I can’t see Theodora anymore :(

Both palettes comes with 6 eyeshadows which 2 of those are duo-color, so makes that 8 shades in total. Then an eye pencil and a lip color. It also comes with the instructions how to get Theodora/Glinda look.

Let’s start with The Theodora Palette first;  the colors are more in my comfort zone and it consists of six brand eyeshadows which two are duo-shades (never-before-seen!!), black eye pencil and Theodora super-saturated high-gloss lip color (red color).

UDT1

UDT3

UDT2

UDT4

UDT6

UDT5

Bottom line: eyeshadow and eyeliner are very wearable, colors are very pigmented and the eyeliner is very soft and smooth. I didn’t experience much fall out but unfortunately red lip color doesn’t suit me at all.

Now time to show The Glinda Palette; I have a bit of doubt with this one because it is not the color I used to wear tho the palette looks very pretty and girly ;p but I’m more a “neutral” person. It also consists of 6 eyeshadows which 2 are duo-shades, Purple eye pencil and Glinda Super-saturated high-gloss lip color (nude color).

UDG1

UDG2

UDG3

UDG4

UDG5

UDG6

UDG7

Bottom line: I did experience fall out but eyeshadow primer fixed this issues. I really do love the purple eye pencil from the color (much nicer than picture above) and the texture. The eyeshadow turned out really good too. On top of that the lip color is wearable for me.

Last but not least, my look wearing both palettes. PS: I didn’t go out looking like this. If you wondering :p

UD EOTD

I’m a team Glinda at the end but I also happy with Theodora palette. Such a difficult decision to make if you have to choose one. That’s why I ended up buying both. Anyway great texture, pigmentation and most importantly good value.

Hope this review useful! Thanks for reading and have a great week ahead !!
