It’s time for me to write a simple thought on one of the most talked about products this season in beauty blogosphere. This spring, Shu Uemura is launching Tint in Gelato. Tint in Gelato is a one stop product for both cheek and lip. Tint in Gelato comes in 12 shades in 4 different shades category. The shades category are PK for Pink, CR for Coral, AT for unique shades, and BG for beige.
The picture above was the same picture I use in Mika for Shu post which I post previously here.
Tint in Gelato comes in a silver tube glass packaging with a see through glass for us to see how much products we have left. Like most Shu Uemura product, I like the simple and sleek design of this product. Although it is simple, the product still looks nice and classy.
The applicator of tint in gelato is rounded with a small hole in the middle. What I like about the applicator is that the applicator feels more flexible, making my application on my lip seems better. It spreads the color nicely on my lip.
Tint in Gelato comes in a mousse texture that makes it feels creamy. It is very smooth and it is very well pigmented. The color pops nicely in one layer. The finish of Tint in Gelato is a semi matte finish. However to get an even color on my lip, I like to apply two thin layers. The applicator is a fine tools to be used for my lip. On my cheek, I usually dab the applicator onto my cheek and blend it with my finger.
This product typically last up to 5 hours on my cheek. While on my lip, they stay put for about 3 hours ( i drink a lot), but the stronger shade will usually leave a stain and the stain can go a long way especially when I reapply the product one more time.
Here are the swatches on my lip. This is Pk03; it is a cool toned bubblegum pink. I like to use this shade on my cheek more than on my lip. On my cheek, it brightens my entire face. However I feel that this shade emphasises my dry lips; so to tackle this issue, I’ll apply a thin layer of lip balm before applying this.
And here’s CR01, a lovely coral shade. I love this shade as it looks nice on both my lips and my cheek. I have this on my make up bag as it is a to go product for both cheek and lips.
Here’s the full swatches of all the 12 shades
Tint in Gelato is available in Singapore and retailing at $38
