Uk Trip Haul :D

Hello guys!

I have been shopping a lot during the holiday! UK has plenty of makeup brands that I could not find in Singapore and I took the chance of getting those things! I know I’ve been a bad girl during the holiday. When I reached home after the holiday, I felt guilty looking at my new stuffs :( But anyway I enjoyed my holiday so much and now I should work hard to pay off those shopping damages LOL :D

Suqqu

This is Suqqu counter in Selfridges Manchester. I didn’t take more pictures as I was too excited to look for products here. I had fun swatching many products. There are many items that are not available there because I think it sold out pretty quickly.

Here are my Suqqu haul; 2 eyeshadow, 1 blush and 1 eyebrow palette.

Illamasqua

These pictures are also taken in Illamasqua counter in Selfridges Manchester.  The Illamasqua counter there is very happening with 3 SAs that have dramatic makeup and dresses! The thing that gets me most excited is to see their blushes. I have Illamasqua blush in Hussy and I love it to bits. I had fun swatching at the blush counter and decided to pick

I purchased three items from Illamasqua; a blush, an eye palette and a cream highlighter.

Chantecaille

I picked this Chantecaille Classic Palette in Harrods. This palette was on sale together with the Tiger in the Wild palette. Chantecaille products pricing are so expensive even after the price reduction. I paid (£50 or £75, can’t remember exactly). Honestly I bought this only because I want to collect a product from a brand that I have never had before. I will do a review about this palette soon (I hope :) )

Drugstore Haul from Boots & Superdrug

I had fun in both Superdrugs and Boots mostly in between Christmas – New year because they are having generous promotions. I bought quite a number of products there as they are having a “Buy 2 get 3″ promotions and I will get a free goodie bag when I buy 5 products or more. Gosh I could not control myself and bought there things with me. I know I am a bad girl when it comes to shopping but I’ll give myself an excuse since this is a year end holiday :p

Real Technique Brushes

Sleek Eye and Blush Palettes

Miscellaneous brands – Maybelline Color Tattoo, Revlon Lipstain, Max Factor lipfinity, Loreal Eyeshadow, Rimmel Eyeliner, etc.

Model’s Own and Barry M are one of those brands that excites me the most in Boots and Superdrug. Their glittery nail polishes are to die for! Barry M nail polishes were about £3-£5 each and Model’s Own were about £5 each.

That’s all I have for you :)

I have many things to be reviewed and please be patient with me LOL.

Thank you for reading.

Luxasia Warehouse Sale 2012 Haul

Hi Hi!

I will be posting a quick post about my haul at Luxasia Warehouse Sale 2012.

I found out about this warehouse sale from Michelle from Ice Frost Diary‘s blog. I missed this event last year so I definitely would not want to miss this event again.

The sale was mainly about perfume. There are too many brands of perfume to mention; Chloe, Marc Jacob, Balenciaga, Hermès, Prada, Annick Goutal, acqua di parma, etc. The make up brands are Burberry, Guerlain, RMK, Anna Sui. There are many french skincare brands too!

Here’s a quick snap of my haul:

My hauls are mainly Burberry makeup product. The eyeshadows are at $15, The lipstick was at $20, Concealer was at $25, Lip liner was at $12. The non make up item I bought from Burberry is Burberry The Beat Perfume. This was sold at $49 (50ml)

I also picked Guerlain Emillio Pucci Terra Azzura at $50. I am so happy that finally I am getting this at a more reasonable price. I believe this was retailed at more than $100. I also picked up the nail polish at $12.

I hope to review these makeup items soon. I really want to use my Burberry products as soon as possible and see how much I like them :)

YSL Touche Éclat Corrector #1in Rose Lumiere

Hello! Finally I am able to write my review on YSL Touche Éclat! This product was bought together last few weeks together with YSL Le Vernis in #6 Rouge Dada and YSL Rouge Volupte in #1 Nude Beige. You can take a look at my haul here.

I’m sure most of you are familiar with YSL Touche Éclat. Many people has been talking about this product. Most people that I know are raving about this so when YSL beauty opened their boutique in ION Orchard, I immediately decided to get this one.

I am lucky that I’m still able to get this limited edition Touche Éclat packaging. It looks much better in my opinion. It less prone to finger prints compared to the usual Touche Éclat packaging. The idea of pressing pen (I dunno whether this phrase is correct :p LOL) in the packaging is clever. I just love the moment when I press the button and apply the concealer to my under eye circle.

What I like about this corrector is the texture. It’s so soft that it blends very well with my sun screen. I blend this using my Sephora concealer brush.

I bought this primarily to use it as a highlighter. Initially I hoped it could also be used as a concealer. I picked number 1 because the SA advised me to get the lightest color (I am a MAC NC15-20) if I want to use this as a highlighter. After few times using Touche Éclat, I found out that this is not suitable to be used as a concealer. It’s way to light and the texture is not covering enough. Thankfully touche éclat works well as a highlighter. Surely after applying this and my loose powder, I can see some radiant on the part of my face which I applied this on. Other than using this as a highlighter, I also use this as my corrector. Sometimes when my eyeliner starts to smudge, I would add this to touch up. I must admit that I think YSL Touche Éclat works best as a corrector for me.

As you can see in the picture below, the color looks lighter than my skintone. Thus I think it works much better as a highlighter  or a corrector rather than a concealer.

Final Thought:

Packaging wise, I think  YSL Touche Éclat (limited edition) looks very nice and classy. Although I am a bit disappointed that this doesn’t work well as a concealer, I am still glad that this works very well as a highlighter and corrector.

Have you tried YSL Touche Éclat before? Do you think touche éclat works better as a highlighter or a concealer? Tell me what you think :)

Thank you for reading :)

YSL Haul :D

Hello all,

I’ve been quite busy with my job and personal life lately. I bought these items 3 weeks ago when YSL just opened their flagship store in Singapore. I will do a separate post for my review of these items. Here’s what I bought :

I’ll see you again in the next post in a few days time :D

My favourite FOTD

Hello again everyone,

This look probably my favorite so far. Have been using this products and do this make up routine everyday. Yes I’m that boring haha. For the face I used Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in no. 5, since this foundation doesn’t have SPF make sure you apply sunblock or I always apply moisturizer with SPF. Then I applied Burberry Sheer Concealer in Soft Beige no. 2 for under the eyes to hide my dark circle. It has similar packaging with YSL touche eclat! After that set the foundation with Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder in Ivory. For the eyebrow I used Chanel Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil in Brun Cendre no. 40. I’m happy with this eyebrow pencil, its soft and pigmented enough.

Now for the eyes, applied Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill in #8 Champagne (reviewed here) as the base all over the eye lids. This is the ‘star’ of the look then used Bobbi Brown Sand Tortoiseshell Eye Palette applied Sandy Rose-metallic eye shadow which in the bottom tray far left half of the eyelids from middle to outer part then applied Black Chocolate eye shadow still form the same palette in the outer part of eyelids lastly blend it. It won’t be complete without eyeliner, my favorite eyeliner Kiss Me Heroine smooth liquid eyeliner. I used to dislike liquid eyeliner, but this one is goooood, will do review and comparison soon. For cheeks just applied Lunasol Glowing Powder Cheeks in EX01 Coral (reviewed here), my latest blush in my collection. What’s else? I used Ardell lashes in no. 110 since I went out for a nice dinner if not I will just use mascara. For the lips I forgot to apply before I took pictures, I think I used Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Boy. Perfect color to complete the look.

Apologies for some blurry pictures. Thanks for reading!
