Biore Micellar Cleansing Water Review

Biore is releasing a new cleansing product this month. I was so happy to know that Biore is releasing their version of Micellar Cleansing Water.  I have been a loyal user of Biore cleansing wipes and occasionally  I am also using Biore cleansing oil. My overall experience with Biore products has been positive.

Biore Micellar Cleansing Water  is a make up remover/cleanser for the whole face without rinsing. The new Bioré Micellar Cleansing Water is formulated with the Watery Micellar Technology; Micellar Water has been a big hit these past few years as it is able to cleanse make up without leaving sticky feeling. What I love about this product is the alcohol free formula! It annoys me to use cleansing product with alcoholic smell and I am glad that Biore Micellar Water is alcohol free and it’s formulated for sensitive skin too.

I use this after removing my make up with Biore cleansing wipes, and using cotton pad, I cleanse my face with Biore Micellar water. After cleansing it with Biore Micellar Water, you may opt to not rinse your face with water, but I prefer to rinse it once again with water before applying my night time skin care routine.

This product is able to cleanse waterproof make up too such as eyeliner and mascara. It helps to cleanse my waterproof make up more easily and it doesn’t hurt my eye as the formula is alcohol free and oil free. In the picture below, you may see how Biore Micellar Water helps to wipe off the eyeshadow swatches in my arm. It only takes me a single swipe to cleanse it all.

This product helps me to cleanse my make up effortlessly and effectively. So far my experience with Biore cleansing products have been positive and none of them breaks out my skin. Biore is one of the drugstore brands that I use constantly and gives me effective result. You should give this a try too 🙂

The Bioré Micellar Cleansing Water is priced at $18.90 and is now available at all pharmacies, supermarket.

Nuxe White Brightening Purifying Foam

I was recently introduced to this range of Nuxe Skincare product. Nuxe White range is targeting at especially Asian Women who are constantly looking for products which provides radiance, whitening and moisturising.

Nuxe White innovation focuses on whiteness with no dark spots, Rosy Luminosity and perfect moisturising. For whitening and elimination of dark spots,

In this post, I’d like to specifically put my thoughts on the facial foam. Nuxe White Brightening Purifying Foam. This product focuses on brightening and moisturising. For brightening, this is packed with stargazer Lily, white crocus and vitamin C. For that moisturising effect, Nuxe added Cherry Blossom to its ingredients.

My skin condition is a combination skin, but on some days my cheek area can be very dry that it feels itchy on air conditioed room. I have tried several facial wash for dry skin and for combination skin but most of them are drying or too creamy for my liking.

Nuxe White Brightening Purifying Foam comes in a squeezable tube in a white jelly like texture. The smell of this face cleanser is quite noticeable. The flowery scent lingers and stays for a while after cleansing my face. I am not a big fan of the scent because it’s a bit too heavy for my liking. On the other note, I really like the texture and how it feels on my skin.

After washing my face with this cleanser, I don’t feel any itchyness or dryness on my skin. My skin feels clean and moisturised, even for the t-zone area. I use this cleanser day and night after I removed my make up.

Overall, I am liking this product for its performance in cleansing my face. It cleanse my face thoroughly without leaving any dry feeling. The only thing that distracts me is the scent of the product; it’s slightly too heavy for my liking but it doesn’t stop me from using it.

I am pretty sure that most of you have heard of Bioderma Micellar Water. There have been many raves on this and I have no surprise on it. This product works wonders and I can feel the gentleness of this product and how it has help me to cleanse my face more effectively.

Firstly, let us know more about Bioderma Micellar Water range. Bioderma is popularly known popularly for the  Bioderma Sensibio H2O which is suitable for all skin types. In addition to Sensibio H2O, Bioderma also has specially formulated Micellar Water for dry skin, oily skin and even for baby!

Bioderma Micellar Water comes in few types to suits our skin type:

This is Bioderma Hydrabio H2O, this is specially made for dehydrated skin; for skin that feels dry and flaky. Hydrabio H20 contains an apple seed extract that stimulates skin’s natural hydrating capabilities.

Price: $15.90 for 100ml, $29.90 for 250ml, and $39.90 for 500ml

For people who is prone to oily skin, Bioderma has Sebium H2O. This H2O uses copper sulphate and zinc gulconate to purify and regulate sebum production without drying the skin.

Price: $15.90 for 100ml, $29.90 for 250ml, and $39.90 for 500ml

And here’s Bioderma Sensibio H2O, the star product which gets many bloggers and celebrities rave about it! This is suitable for all skin tone but made specially for people with sensitive skin.

$15.90 for 100ml, $29.90
for 250ml, and $39.90 for 500ml
*Sensibio H20 250ml

Last but not least, Bioderma has a micellar water for babies too; this is Bioderma ABCDerm H2O.  ABCDerm H2O is a high-safety and high-tolerance dermo-paediatric cleanser dedicated to babies and children. Its gentle formula and delicate texture help preserve and restore the skin’s natural physiological balance while respecting its fragility. Bioderma suggest this to be used when babies needs cleansing. Conventional baby wipes can often cause irritation and discomfort as these formulas often contain essential oils or alcohol. Use ABCDerm H2O whenever Baby’s face needs cleansing, or when you need to wipe down Baby during a diaper change. It leaves the skin clean and comfortable while restoring the skin’s protective layer.

$29.90 for 250ml

My thoughts on Sensibio H2O:

So far I have only tried Sensibio H20 and I must say that I have been loving it since the day I use it! Bioderma sensibio H20 feels like water; but it works effectively in removing make up even for waterproof eyeliner.

Here are some of my personal suggestions on how to use Micellar Water:

  • As a make up corrector

Bioderma may be used as a corrector when we made a mistake during application. Just pick up a cotton swab and dab it on the area that needs some correction. There’s no greasy feeling at all 🙂 When I experience some eyeshadow fall out/eyelines smudges, I pick up Bioderma to cleanse out my under eye area and reapply my powder and I am good to go.

  • As a toner

I use Bioderma Micellar Water as a toner before I start my make up preparation. I soak my cotton pad and swipe it all over my face to make sure that my face is clean and ready to be prep.

  • As a cleanser after using an oil based make up remover

For a thicker make up, I usually remove my make up with cleansing oil. Then to make sure that all my make up is properly removed, I will use Bioderma to wipe my face and finally wash my face with my daily cleansing face wash.

  • As a make up remover

I also use Bioderma to remove my make up especially when I use a light make up, it cleanses my make up throughly and easily.

In the bottle, Bioderma might looks just like normal water. However once I try using it to wipe away my make up, it does an amazing job! What I like most about this product is that it does not give me that greasy feeling or drying feeling at all. It feels just like water. It feels very light yet it works amazingly. There’s no smell in this product so it will be suitable for people who doesn’t like any smell in their skincare/cleansing routine.

I am on my 3rd bottle of Bioderma and still loving it! Bioderma is part of my daily cleansing routine and it has been one of my cult fave product. If you have not try Bioderma, you should! 🙂

Biore x My Melody Cleansing Oil Review

Hello everyone!

I hope your weekend have been great! Today I have a product which I recently tried and pretty much happy with the result of this product. Over the past week, I have been using this product regularly to remove my make up and here’

Firstly, I couldn’t resist the cute packaging of this product. This My Melody packaging is a limited edition. so for those of you who are a fan of My Melody or interested to get  this edition, go and grab this product quickly before they’re gone! :p

Biore cleansing oil has a light texture and it doesn’t feel heavy when it is applied onto my face. It does have a slight scent which some of you might not like, but for my case I am fine with the scent.

I find this cleansing oil does its job effectively. It cleanses my eye make up throughly, it even cleanses my waterproof eye liner. Here’s how I cleanse my face with this product:

  • Pump once and spread it evenly onto my both palms of my hands
  • Apply it onto my face and massage gently
  • I’ll massage my eye area and try to cleanse my eyeshadow & eye liner more as this is the part where it usually harder to cleanse
  • Rub my face gently with cotton pads
  • rinse my face with water and wash it with my facial cleanser

Here’s a simple demo on how Biore Cleansing Oil helps to cleanse eyeshadow and waterproof eyeliner on  the back of my hand:

I apply two light pumps of Biore Cleansing Oil and rub it gently

I rubbed the back of my palm with cotton pad and yay it is clean!

On a final note, I am happy to say that this product has satisfied my expectation of a good cleansing oil. The oil feels light and it cleanses my face effectively. Biore also has a nice cleansing wipes which I have reviewed before, you can read it here
