Le Blush Crème de CHANEL in Revelation

Hello lovelies!

I can’t believe that it is August now and Fall collection has start hitting the shelves. Fall Collection (apart from Spring collection) is my most highly anticipated make up collection. Usually make up companies are releasing range of neutral and wearable eyeshadows. This year, Chanel releases a range of new cream blush – Le Blush Crème de CHANEL. It consist of 6 blush shade; destiny, presage, affinite, revelation, inspiration and fantastic. I believe this range of blush is a permanent collection except shade Presage and Fantastic.

The packaging:

Le Blush Crème de CHANEL has a similar packaging with Chanel eyeshadow quad. However this packaging is thinner and smaller. It is very lightweight and very convenient to be put in your make up bag. It doesn’t come with any brush/sponge.

Chanel Cream blush has a soft texture in the pan; but when it is applied on my cheek, surprisingly it feels powdery and doesn’t feel like cream. It doesn’t make my skin feel oily at all, it sets on like a powder. It is very easy to apply and it blends nicely on my skin.

Another good news for those of you who are sensitive to scent, this product  has no scent infused. Le Blush Crème de CHANEL can also be applied onto your lip. I like to wear this cream blush on my cheek after my foundation and before setting powder. In this way, Le Blush Crème de CHANEL lasts for 4-5 hours on me and it starts to fade. The lasting power is not the best but it is acceptable for me. The Beauty Look Book recommended Tom Ford Cream Foundation brush to apply this cream blush. I tried that method once and I agree with her that this works very well but it takes more time as I need to wait for my foundation to be fully sent onto my skin. So for my daily application, I usually use my ring ringer to apply the product. I like to layer this product twice on my cheek to get the shade I want. I feel that by adding one more layer onto my cheek makes the product blends more easily.

The look I did in this post is the same look I have posted in the post Guerlain Lingerie de Peau BB Cream. I did not use too many products for this look as I wanna create a minimal make up look for my weekend brunch last week. I am wearing Le Blush Crème de CHANEL in Revelation on both cheek and lip.

Guerlain Palette Meteorites – Radiant Pressed Powder, Blush, & Highlighter

Hello everyone,

I bought this palette from Sydney Duty Free which I believe is travel exclusive. They have a few items which are travel exclusive, it was so difficult for me to buy only one. I was tempted to buy them all but they all are quite expensive. It cost me around AUD135 for this palette 🙁

This palette consists of:

  • Face Powder 8g
  • Blush 4.2g
  • Highlighter 4g
  • Guerlain2

This palette comes with a small brush and a mirror. I thought this palette is very handy for traveling, it has everything from powder, blush and also highlighter.

Closer look of the inside, the powder is so pretty!!

Swatches: (from the top) blush, powder, and highlighter.

In my opinion, this palette is just okay. Good to have but not a must. Even though, the SA told me the powder itself cost around AUD150, I still think this palette expensive.

Suqqu Balancing Cheeks 01 Momozoe

Hi everyone,

Today, I have Suqqu Balancing Cheeks to show and tell. I had this quite a while, somehow I neglected this little treasure and found it again when I packed my cosmetics for my holiday.  This is my first ever Suqqu Blush, heard a good review and quality about Suqqu. However, Suqqu is not that easy to buy especially where I live in Sydney. My sister helped me to get this when she traveled to Japan.

When it comes to packaging, I like the light case but because the color is black, my finger prints are visible all over the case. It doesn’t concern me much tho :p

The color of the blush is very light, in order to get the color as shown below. I have to applied couple times. However it looks very natural and soft and also the brush that comes with the blush is very good and soft! According to few bloggers, it has the same quality with the blush brush in original size. To find more about Suqqu Blush Brush, you can read here.

In my opinion, I prefer blush which are pigmented. Maybe this shade is not the right one for me? I love to hear your opinion about Suqqu blush 😀

NARS Blush in Dolce Vita

Hi everyone!

It’s been a while since I blogged, I’m currently back in my hometown and about to start my much needed holiday in 2 days! Tho I miss Sydney very much, I’m glad I can escape from the cold winter weather. I brought a couple of new items with me, one of them is NARS Blush in Dolce vita.

NARS describe Dolce vita as matte dusty rose. It looks a bit dark compare to my other blushes which mostly coral shade. But I love how pigmented this blush is and it doesn’t look very dark in my skin.

For above FOTD; other than NARS Dolce Vita blush, I also use Tom Ford Golden Mink, Chanel Les Beiges Powder #30.

Pardon me for the sloppy false lashes, I hardly use false lashes these days :p

If you live in Australia, you can purchase NARS blush from Mecca Cosmectica for AUD45.

YSL Blush Radiance #9

Hi all,

Yves Saint Laurent Makeup Fall Collection 2013 consists of few new products. For the blush, YSL is releasing two new shades and one of them is YSL Blush Radiance #9 Poppy Coral. I am going to talk briefly on what I think of this product.

Some of you might notice that this blush comes in a bigger packaging compared to the normal YSL Blush packaging. The normal YSL packaging is smaller than this one. The size of this blush packaging is the same as the eyeshadow quad packaging. The packaging comes in a golden metal case that’s prone to finger prints. The size is handy and it comes with a small brush too.

Shade & Texture:

YSL Blush Radiance #9 Poppy Coral has two kinds of texture; matte and shimmery. The coral shade is very nice and it doesn’t look orange-y to me. I personally not a big fan of coral shades but I am really in love with this shade as it gives me a very nice sun kissed glow. Somehow I can see a hint of soft pink in this blush when swatched. You can see the swatch of this product below.

You can choose to wear the matte shade alone or the shimmery shade alone, or mix it all together. The shimmer in this blush is very nice; it’s not too much at all. For those of you who dislike shimmer, you need not to worry about the shimmer in this blush. It doesn’t make you look like glitter bomb at all.

The pigmentation of this blush is not the best. The color shows up on my skin after I layer it twice. What I like most about this blush is the buttery and smooth texture. This blush feels very soft and it blends very nicely. I love the powdery feeling it has.

Below is the swatch of YSL Blush #9 Poppy Coral when it is mixed

As you can see,  Poppy Coral has a mixture of pink undertone. On my opinion, this blush is suitable to almost every skin tone. It blends very well into the skin and it stays nicely for about 5 hours before it starts fading.

Final Thought:

YSL Blush Radiance in poppy coral meets my expectation of a good blush. The texture is so soft and smooth. I would recommend this to ladies who are looking for a nice everyday blush; you won’t go wrong with this blush.
