Edinburgh, Manchester and London Trip :)

Hello beautiful readers!

As written in my past posts, Both of us are flying off during the festive season. Meryl went to UK for Christmas and New year. I had such a wonderful time there. I feel relaxed and it was a wonderful family bonding time. I have uploaded few pictures that might sums up what I did there. The picture might not have the best quality as some of them are taken with my iPhone. Nonetheless, please enjoy 🙂

It is truly a beautiful city with lots of old buildings, monuments and sculptures. There’s even a castle right in the middle of the city! The city brought my imagination to the early 19s where people are still wearing empire long dresses and driving  the classic cars as seen in the movies. It is truly a wonderful place to visit 🙂

Me and my family celebrated Christmas in Edinburgh. All the shops were closed on Christmas day so we had no choice but to stay in our place through out the day. On the 25th, we only went out for Christmas mass and Christmas dinner. The day after Christmas, we went to visit Christmas Market in Haymarket. Here are some pics I snapped:

We also go around the city, going around Edinburgh Castle and tried some Scotch Whisky. I am not a big fan of alcoholic drink but it was a great experience to visit Scotch Whisky Brewery.

After spending 3 nights in Edinburgh, We continue our journey to Manchester. We stayed two nights there. We didn’t do much over there other than shopping and visiting Old Trafford Stadium.

After Manchester, it’s time to visit London. Like many other tourist, we visited the famous Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Tower of London.

I took a pic of The Gherkin, the building looks like a bullet.

We also visited the main shopping district in London; Oxford Street, Bond Street, Piccadilly Circus and Knightsbridge (Harrods)

Since we have 6 days in London, we decided to make a visit to the ancient Stonehenge. I was so excited to see the stones myself! I know it’s only stones but they hold such an important history which excites me to see the stones! I love to read about ancient history and I am so happy that finally I have seen the stones. It took us 2-3 bus ride from London.

We booked a ticked to watch Les Misèrables at Queens Theatre. I have watched The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked and The Lion King in Singapore but I wish I could catch the show in London too. Unfortunately there wasn’t enough time for us to watch them all. Watching Les Misèrables in Queens Theatre means so much to me 🙂

On our last evening in London, we went to Stamford Bridge (Chelsea Stadium) to see a match between Chelsea vs QPR. I am not a big fan of football but for that 90 minutes match, I must admit that I enjoyed watching football at its best. Although I was disappointed that Chelsea was beaten by QPR (0-1), it was truly an enjoyable moment for me.

Wow what a long post! I hope you  enjoy this non related beauty post 🙂 I will post more about my beauty haul in the next few days. Please stay tuned 🙂
