I finally got my hands on Chanel Makeup Collection 
Chanel Holiday Collection has finally hit our local stores here in Singapore! The most eye catching item from this collection is the eyeshadow quad Harmonie Du Soir. This quad reminds me of Chanel Topkapi which I missed last year. I regret that I didn’t get Topkapi so I promised myself not to miss this one Harmonie Du Soir retails for $96
I have bought few Chanel quads and not impressed with the pigmentation (Non US formula), Since then I have stopped buying the quads. Harmonie Du Soir seems promising to me. The formula is not the same as other Chanel quads retailing in Singapore.
This quad consists of 4 colors with shimmer. They are bronze gold, taupe, plum red and a sheer pink. The CC Logo embossed on each eyeshadow is so pretty. I just love love all classy things that Chanel created
The pigmentation of the eyeshadow is very good. The color payoff is awesome! There’s a slight fallouts when I applied the eyeshadow but it’s still fine. Compared to Chanel’s permanent quad, this definitely has a much better quality. The texture of this eyeshadow is buttery and smooth too.
I have done a swatch under normal lighting (indoor) and direct sunlight.
As you can see, the color is finely pigmented. It’s very smooth. The swatches here are 2 layers for each color. I love all the colors from this quad. But if I have to pick a favorite color, it has got to be the taupe. It has amazing pigmentation, versatile and very easy to use.
I was heading for an event yesterday and I did this look. I hope you like it
I applied the bronze gold all over my eyelid. Then I added the taupe on the outer edge and on the crease to create an in depth look for my asian eye. To create dimension, I apply the plum red on the outer edge of my eyelid. I only applied the rosy brown color near to the eyelid because I want to emphasize the taupe as the main color for my crease. For highlight, I apply the sheer pink on my browbone and my inner eyelid.
Final Thought:
So far this has got to be one of my favorite Chanel quad! It’s definitely a very nice color payoff if you don’t mind paying $96. Lovely color, very nice texture too!

i’ve tested this beauty at a local counter but i had to pass up since it was a tad warmer than what i could pull off normally.
i really like the soft wine-y color, though.
Looks like most people are eyeing on the plum color =) The color is warmer than what I expect it to be too..

Nice!!! Is the quad easy to use? I have concern on the plum shade making my eyes looking puffy.
The colors are versatile, I think the plum shade is a nice color to complement the other neutral shades.

I have this one and I’ll blog about it soon! The colors look slightly different on your skin tone, but I love how fab you look with it! I am really impressed with the texture as well, though admittedly it killed me a little having to ruin the nice logo with my grubby little fingers :p
