I have another thing to show you from Dior Fall 2012 collection, it’s the 5 Couleurs 774 Golden Savanna eye palette. When I first see the promo pictures of this collection in beauty blogosphere, I knew this is the MUST HAVE thing! This is my first ever Dior Eye Palette. If you have been seeing Dior Eye Palette in memoiselle, it must be Monica’s
I am very excited to own my first Dior 5 couleurs, especially when this is a limited edition
Firstly let’s talk about the packaging. Golden Savanna packaging is not as good as Dior Golden Khaki that I have reviewed before. The case is made of plastic, just the same as what other Dior 5 couleurs are made of.
The pigmentation of this eye palette is fine. Although I hope this can be more buttery and smooth, this is enough to satisfy me. Although it is not as buttery and smooth as what I expect it to be, I am surprised that the fall out is very minimal. When I use this palette for these 3 days, I have not experienced major fallouts that upsets me. You can see the swatch of the palette above. The colors are very wearable and versatile for everyday use.
Another thing that I love about this palette is that many of the colors have semi matte finish. I have lots of shimmering neutral eyeshadow colors and this would be a great complement to my neutral eyeshadow stash. You can see in the swatch above that the finish is somewhat matte but still have that beautiful shine.
I have done a look with Golden Savanna,
The makeup products used in this palette:
Eyes: Dior Golden Savannah, Giorgio Armani Maestro Quad #4 (I wish I could do a review about this very soon), Revlon Eye Pencil in Black, the lashes are from Taiwan (there’s no brand name in the packaging)
Cheeks: Chanel Joues Contraste blush in Rouge and in Or (I need to make use of this more!) and Burberry Sheer Summer Glow (I have been using this a lot and I hope to see the pan!
)
Have you picked anything from this collection? Tell me about that
Thank you for reading.

OH MY GOSH Meryl–you’re so right! This is obviously a must-have–I can see that straightaway from your photos. I was already in love, but now it’s settled: I HAVE to have this!
get it Becca! Let me know what you it when you got it
Golden Savannah looks beautiful on you! I’m new to Dior shadows as well but I’m quickly falling in love. Are there any other Dior palettes that you’re eyeing?
Thank you Chris
So far I’m not lemming for anything. I think I have enough Dior palette for now, perhaps next season or spring?
What a really gorgeous quad
This will look beautiful in the fall as well!
Thank you Dovey, this is fall appropriate color and all time appropriate too
The shades in this quad are right up my alley – it’s so tempting!! If only Dior wasn’t so expensive and overprice here in Sydney!
I know
Monica is based in Sydney too so I know how expensive things there are. Online shopping from US will be a good choice if you have many items to order
Oh it is so gorgeous, very up my alley. I am trying to resist because the couple of Dior palettes I own have been sorely neglected by me. Must not look! I dig the second colour from the left, I love a good warm gold colour.
I think this one ir really worth having dear
I know what you mean, I have been neglecting so many eyeshadows too. I need to make an eyeshadow rotation now.
I love the colors of this eyeshadow palette! It looks very muted, but still very pretty. It is definitely colors I would wear. Thanks for swatching!
You’re welcome Em Tiny
Yes these are very wearable color.
